How is Obama gonna get his Budget through?

I mean, how much bad press can one man take,
from all sides, and still get a progressive budget through?

He's not going to change his Wall street plan now that it has been proposed,
no matter how much people scream....and if he did, it would send Wall Street
into a tailspin.

He's stated clearly that he's not going to fire Geithner, yet folks that should know better keep screaming that he needs to, on both sides.

When do we allow the plan to work, or not to work?
Or do we make noise, like dragged screaming children all the way through?

Why can't he be allowed to try it his way (like FDR was allowed to)?
What if his plan works, but he stopped from even trying it, even for a limited time.
It would become evident very soon if nothing came of it.
Who's gonna want toxic assets, if there is nothing in it for them to hold them?

What if Nationalization doesn't work because it scares away foreign investors
(the ones we borrow all of the money from because of our giant deficits)
what if investors, if we nationalize, opt to do business with other countries,
as Nationalization would only signal that what made America great originally is no more...
even if he was working to restore it.

The reason that countries like investing in America is because of our years at being a
stable symbol of free enterprise. What signal would it send to nationalize before
trying other possible remedies, when one can alway nationalize if all else fails...
knowing that even nationalization may not do the trick?

Why should someone who has been attacked as being a socialist no try other avenues
before going there? Because economist who don't do politics say so?

But most importantly,
How can he get a budget through with everyone and their mothers pissing on him all day long?

We've got the media, zogby polls, republicans, democrats, and now the liberal blogospher
coming at him at once.

How can he pass an ambitious budget under that kind of atmosphere?

I personally don't think that he can.
