I watched the PBS special last night about the state of health care. I was raving furious at the story of the Lupus victim who basically rotted away without health care. I had an epiphany just now. This should please both the people like us who ACTUALLY CARE and the 'have mores' (corporate whores) like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity alike. Are you ready? It's really simple. Pass Bernie's bill, which is like the one Conyers wants, and Kucinich wants. Get the three of them together to tweak it, I like all of their ideas. The best way is rather simple. Do so and allow the STUPID for-profit, private, money shifting to the elite, Nixonian, crap-NWO system of private insurance to continue.

You get the best of both worlds. As Dennis Kucinich pointed out, the 2.2 trillion we pay now would fully pay for the new plan, covering everyone. No new expenses or taxes. If we need extra to pay for it, the 1/2 TRILLION a year in savings the conservative CBO points out would cover it. So nothing would change for those who like the system we have now. Those sick of it, which is 2/3 of America (probably more, as the rich elite do all they can to push that number down) will go with the public plan. And, to quote that aldultering, immoral, bloated piece of shit Newt Gingrich from his 'Contract on America' daze - that private for-profit system will 'wither on the vine' and that is FINE.
