Plus the fact that's she's very fair skinned. I wear sunscreen all the time even on a rainy day like today and believe me it makes a difference...
Or she could just have wanted to spiff up since "President Boyfriend" was going to be there. A friend of mine calls him that for his ability to charm the dickens out of just about everybody going...
