A few weeks ago, before the repuke hate fest, when things were looking a little better for us, I jokingly told my friend, "If Kerry wins, I will be outside dancing in the streets on November 3, and if he loses, I'll be in bed, crying with the mother of all hangovers."
It strikes me now that neither of these are particularly practical reactions. If Kerry wins, we still have a lot of work to do, and it should start from day one. We need to immediately pressure the corporate media to give Kerry the quite extended and ridiculous honeymoon they so willingly granted *, even after he stole the election in one of the ugliest political events of modern history. Remember, even before 9-11, (long before) they were willing lapdogs for the chimp.
On the other hand, if Kerry loses, nursing a hangover and crying are great emotional releases I suppose, but I've changed my mind now. I want to act in the face of such an event. I want my actions to be practical, constructive, effective, and impossible to ignore. Any suggestions?
