55. Wrote a Letter to FOX news...
Title: Integrity

I understand that FOX news has a political agenda and, generally, I don't blame you for completely lacking anything that remotely resembles journalistic integrity in your approach to stories. Most people know that you are not REALLY a news network, you are entertainment for a certain element of society. That portion of the population in red states which can actually afford a TV, I guess. I also get that Murdoch's love of the conservative agenda is due less to any kind of moral high ground, but due more to the fact that the current administration's policy favors the extremely rich and big business and Murdoch is laughing all the way to the bank for both reasons. Hey, this is America, right?? What good American allows a little thing like the truth get in the way of making a buck?

But how does even a Republican shill like Brit Hume tolerate being on the same network as Bill O'Reilly? O'Reilly has truly earned the nickname 'O'Lielly'. Does he do a single show where he does not completely reinvent facts to suit his premise? Like his comments about Jeremy Glick during his interview with Phil Donahue (BTW, I really think Phil looks good these days, don't you??) Anyway, O'Lielly says that Jeremy Glick accused President Bush of collaborating with Al Quaeda on 9/11. He has access to his own transcripts, right?? He CAN read, right? Jeremy Glick did not say anything like that. At all. Really.

You know, you can tell me, I won't tell anybody....you guys laugh at him behind his back, don't you?? You all pretend to be serious and respect him when he is facing you and as soon as O'Lielly turns his head, you guys are twirling your fingers in circles near your temple behind his back, right?? I just know somebody there keeps a loofah in their top desk drawer and pulls it out when he isn't looking in an effort to make the rest of the room crack up. I bet you also have to keep a shower right off the 'news' room so that anybody at FOX with a conscience can scrub off that dirty feeling after O'Lielly airs. "Anybody at FOX with a conscience"....Ha ha ha...I made a funny!!

Anyway, I don't want you to think that I actually WATCH O'Lielly or anything else on FOX. My shower is too far away from the den. I would actually have to walk all the way to the bedroom and I am not sure I could stand it. No, I usually catch your show on Crooks and Liars. Which, when you think about it, makes sense.

Thank you for your time,
Irene Bolick
