how that would go over in SC. Part of the Southern Strategy worked because for decades movies made fun of the Southern Poor...."white trash, hillbillies, police who chewed and spit tobacca, uneducated and racist..." Not, that there's not some truth in sterotypes...but it's a sore point with Southerners and I would imagine there are many blacks who would take offense to what Obama is saying. Particularly the new professionals ...just as there are a few liberal Southerners in SC who've tried to live down the "Jim Bob, Billy Ray, Bubba."

I know people say when you "talk to your own group" you can tend to slip into lingo that you wouldn't use in work situations or other places....but Obama is running for President. He should know that anything he says will be heard everywhere. :shrug:

Sad...that this stuff is going on..dirty politics. But, it seems to win elections..according to studies.
