Whoever gets the Dem nomination WILL win the Big Blue States

So the argument that some Clinton supporters are posing that "Obama can't win the big blue states" does not hold up. These traditionally Dem states will vote Dem in November whether it's Hillary or Obama who gets the nomination. But Obama has shown that he has appeal in some red and several purple states as well. If we want to win in November, we will have to get some of the states we didn't win in 2000 and 2004. Obama is showing that he has strength in those states as well. Check the Rethug vs Dem voter turnout in some of the red states. In some of the traditionally red states, we got more people to the polls than the rethugs did. That's huge. That can turn some states from red to purple or even to blue. And we need to do that in November. We're pretty sure to get CA and NY and MA in the GE. But how about MO and NM and other purple states? Those could have made all the difference in 2000 and 2004. But we didn't get them then. We may be able to win them with Obama as the nominee.

Donning my fireproof skivvies to await the flames... :hide:
