6. I'm OK with him taking public financing
both because he's made a commitment to it, and because the DNC can spend on general 'Vote Democrat' campaigning.

But more important, I think he was right to deflect the question. If he had started talking about General election commitments when McCain brought it up last week, the Clinton campaign would have crucified him for 'pretending he had already won the nomination' or suchlike.
