Unless superdelegates completely subvert the entire process - and none of them are going to be willing to split the party and disenfranchise voters, handing the election to McCain like that.

He's got more money.

He's got more popularity.

And he's got more pledged delegates.

And each of those things will be true at the convention.

Superdelegates have to support him, or alienate all his voters, split the party and lose the election. It's really that simple.
