... part of it is because we are run by corporations who lead us by the nose via fairy tales. The other part is that Americans are really ignorant and we love to be led by the nose. In all the countries I've lived in, this is the one where the electorate is the dumbest, really. They hate being told the truth, they like things whitewashed, heaven forbid someone should mention real history, heaven forbid somebody should provide some real statistics, and heaven forbid we don't spend our life focusing on shit instead of on what really matters. In Europe NOBODY would give two shits about church because they're not religious and they don't care a rat's ass for it. Here? Here we have up the fucking wazoo. We have to hyperanalyze where candidate go to church, where they piss, what their preacher says, what their preacher does. HEAVEN FORBID tho that we should EVER discuss the fact that corporations have destroyed our country like vultures. THAT we cannot do. The corporations don't like that. It scares them. So they gently guide us into the realm of bullshit discussing what some preacher says, rather than the way corporations are screwing us up the @$$.
