Reply #40: You need to keep in mind that the media grabbed a hanful of statements and removed the context

In context most of them are less controversial. They are less memorable. Even ignoring that, this is a handful of statements over the course of YEARS on the pulpit. There's no reason to think Obama would have heard statements like that, which are probably the mots radical Wright has ever said. There's no reason to think Wright said such things repeatedly or often. If he had, then the media would already be showing how he had said these things repeatedly, and they've been unable to do that.

Given that, is it really so unbelievable that Obama didn't hear these statements?
