"It's the economy, stupid"

Whoever wins the general election in November, whether it be Clinton, Obama or McCain, one of them will be handed a "poison chalice". With nearly 504 billion dollars wasted on the invasion of Iraq and thousands of US service men and women killed and the American economy in free fall, it is going to take a special kind of person to lead the country.

Observing from outside the square, I feel that McCain would be totally inadequate. He's too old and too slow thinking and God help us all if he sticks with almost the same administration.

If Obama wins. I feel that he would be overwhelmed by the state of the economy due to lack of experience. "Change" is good, but how much change for the better do you think he could accomplish when the country is in recession.

Like her or hate her (I'm sure many of you do), Clinton is very capable and also has the connections to pull the country out of the mire that the Bush Administration has left it in. When Bush took over after Bill Clinton, the country was not at war and the economy was in surplus. That pretty much sums it up.
