2. My guess is that those voters are thinking downticket. The Republicans
are acknowledging that their House and Senate (those that are up for reelection) members will lose massively this fall.

I also think that until we have just ONE candidate running, people are going to divide more easily. Once we have our candidate, lots of voters are going to see the value of a straight Dem ticket (they see the gridlock that happens when the WH is one party and the Congressional majority is another). At least that is what I am hoping for.
