I do think some folks without a lot of education resent folks with a lot of education because they lord it over them... However, I think most folks put a high premium on education and few folks deride it...

As to your suggestion that working class folks weren't part of the traditional Democratic tradition I disagree... The New Deal coalition that endured for nearly fifty years with some occasional fissures consisted of working class folks, African Americans, Jews, and intellectuals...


And as I said sometime I would rather cast my lot and spend time with someone who got a PhD in Life as opposed to a PhD from Harvard...
