7. Best question of the month. I think the answer is "everything"
I think the torture memos will be the thread that begins unraveling an entire cloth of lies that created a fake consensus reality.

Once that thread begins to unravel, we'll have a clear view of what happened on 9/11; the global scope of torture, assassinations and black site prisons; how the NSA was used for political purposes, such as blackmail; the system by which the Republican party was financed through kickbacks from bogus defense and other contractors; the real scope of the Abrahmoff scandal; collusion between the Republicans and the corporate media; how the elections were rigged; and on and on.

They will fight vehemently to prevent any single thread from unraveling, because they don't want the whole thing to unravel.
