Let's see you write a piece of that length consistently on these boards using complex form and development and content fed by awareness and command of information and current events, the language formal enough for full range of expression but colloquial enough to invoke popular lexicon and the entire piece demonstrative of high-command syntax and phonetic variety.

No cheating. Dig deep and be as good a writer as the OP is for let's say, 12 months. We'll do an assessment this time next spring.
