When does a mother working two jobs to feed her kids get as much press as the Craig's List Killer?

I've always held that the media is neither conservative or Liberal. It's corporate and looks to protect the interest of the ruling class. The Craig's List Killer gets so press becuase the media sensationalises the fuck out of it.

Same with the Tea Bag Parties which is an event entirely created by the media.

I know that a lot of folks feel that Maddow, Olberman etc "Speak for me". I think they are good at what they do but work from a very limited pallet. When does someone like Barbara Ehrenrich or Naomi Klein get their own show on MSNBC? At the end of the day, there really isn't anyone to counter the hard right materialism of Lou Dobbs who just pretends to speak for working folk while doing the dirty work for the ruling class.
