Free Kitten to Good Home (Adopt Keith or Randi... we're keeping Stephanie)

The other day, in a reckless and ill-advised act of kindness, we took in a litter of four kittens I found living under the bushes of my back yard.

Unfortunately, one of them had a nasty wound on its ear, and had to be put down and tested for rabies.

If we left them at the local shelter, the other three would have been euthanized as well, since they are so young (about 3-4 weeks old).

So now we are quarantining them in our home for at least 10 days.

We're keeping one of them for ourselves, the little gray one we named Stephanie.

A relative of my wife's co-worker is interested in adopting one of the other two-- Keith or Randi-- but isn't sure which one she wants yet.

So, if anyone is interested, here are Keith and Randi.

This is Stephanie... we're keeping this one.

I thought about switching names between Stephanie and Randi, since the cat named Randi is actually more like a Stephanie. You see, Randi suffers from "pee-shyness", and I need to rub a warm cloth on Randi's butt to make her go potty.

Randi is the runt of the litter, and doesn't seem to eat as much. So, we're supplementing her with a bottle of kitten formula.

Otherwise, they're all a healthy bunch of happy little kitties with six toes on their front paws, four toes in back, and extra dewclaws on every leg.

Unfortunately, until their quarantine period is up, we have to limit our contact to care-and-feeding only.

They're starting to feel more at ease, playing with one another, and finally starting to purr.

They are a happy, friendly bunch of little kitties.

Who wants one?
