All the cons had to do was to wait it out. Seems that for Canadian media, unless someone comes forward with slam-dunk evidence of actual criminal wrong-doing, well then, there just isn't a story there, is there. Quite pathetic really.

However, I think the issue isn't gone for good. The NDP has so far blocked any Parliamentary Committees from investigating the matter (because the issue does nothing to weaken the Liberals) but the Justice Committee may be able to take it on despite the NDP obstruction (since it is chaired by a conservative, who therefore can't vote unless there is a tie.)

This coming week will tell the tale.
