5. I seriously do not understand how this could in any way be right.
If they are concerned about a teen, or preteen, not being able to read, understand and take the med according to the directions, why the hell are things like tylenol so easily accessible? Overdose on that, as some have done, and you die.

Or aspirin. Take too many, as I have heard kids of that age discussing, and you end up with ringing ears and bleeding in your stomach.

"because they are minors and parents need to be responsible for them" is also crap. Having it accessible is for those kids who can't involve their parents/guardians. It ends up simply with the desire to control. Yes, it is frightening to think of your child doing something without your permission, but in some cases it is necessary.

I really don't understand how this could in any way be positive.
