1. I have said this repeatedly in this and other forums:
When in doubt, call the teacher!!! It is totally possible that your daughter's understanding of the assignment is not the same as the teacher's or of others in her group.
At least, you might be able to buy more time by explaining that the group is not functioning well and your daughter needs an extension to complete the assignment properly. If the assignment was unreasonable, the teacher needs to know that and make adjustments.
