3. The cursed play is longer than two hours.
A six minute script can be two pages or ten depending on how much physical action is involved. If they act out Macbeth actually killing Duncan, only a couple of pages could be six minutes. If they decide to write one of the negotiation scenes between Macduff and his allies, that would most likely be longer.

This is actually a great project and one I will keep in mind for the next I get to teach the cursed play (which I hope to, someday, as I'm still looking for a teaching job). Collaborative writing actually can work really well and often does. I watched a class I was working with all re-write Romeo and Juliet as text messages in just three days of class, and it was brilliant. I'm sure the teacher wasn't expecting perfection or anything on Shakespeare's level, just that the kids see how difficult it can be to write, get the feel for writing drama (as opposed to essays or poems), and learn to work with a group--something that happens quite a bit in the work world.
