Reply #26: Loved the first couple seasons

I remember watching the first episode on DVD, and being hooked. Certainly no oscar-winning performances on QAF, but finally a show that was about me and my life. Several of my gay friends did not like the show, said there was too much stereo-typing going on. I think some of the characters were to the extreme, but my best friend led his life much the way Brian Kinney did on QAF. I saw several of my real-life friends in the characters on QAF. The later seasons of the show seemed to go flat for me. IMO, the plot of QAF was about the love story of Brian and Michael. They were the star-crossed lovers destined to never be together. This was played out so well the first couple of seasons, but once the story moved away from this, it lost steam. A good series that I would recommend to those who have not seen it.
