4. Secret Arrests stop Democracy
Edited on Fri Jan-06-06 12:15 PM by Denver Dave
I've heard alot about spying and torture being used by the US against foreigners and US citizens, but I've heard very little about secret arrests. First everyone needs to know that the constitution portions for due process do not seem to apply anymore and every citizen needs to know this is happening. May be called an arrest, may be called material witness, but people are being held without anybody knowing they are being held, why or access to legal representation.

After the practice is made public, we need to have frank discussions if this is they way it should be.

My opinion - even if the current administration are saints, the people in the next one or the next will not be. Secret Arrests will stop Democracy.

Doesn't sound reasonable - Items have been in the news and quickly burried. Where are those CIA secret prisons again? Haven't heard much about secret arrests? - that's the point.
