ACLU asks state to investigate release of phone records (MI)

DETROIT The ACLU has filed a complaint with the state, saying AT-and-T and Verizon gave private details about people's phone calls to the National Security Agency.

The American Civil Liberties union earlier filed suit in Detroit seeking to end the NSA's warrantless domestic surveillance program.

Now, it's asking the Michigan Public Service Commission to see if the phone companies violated customers' privacy.

The ACLU filed the complaint on behalf of six doctors, lawyers and psychologists, who say their confidential communications with clients may have been compromised ...
