1. Ah, if you just went ahead and made it.
It would still be good. I made a lemon marm once just using the basic orange recipe either out of the Sure Jell package or the Ball Blue Book (can't recall), with lemons instead, and it worked. This is a quick cook type recipe -- total time with processing and cooking is under an hour. It takes about 2 to 3 weeks to set to a jelled consistency. Since the original called for sour (Seville) oranges, the sugar content is about right with lemons as well.
