I just wanted you to know I've read your comments and will post back soon. Boy, what a busy day I have ahead today and tomorrow, too. I looked for the Crumpet photo but have not yet found it. I will find it, though.

When I told Crumpet's human, Karen, about the visit, she was taken aback. She said, "Well, that would make sense because the last two days of her life, she kept trying to go over to your house. We couldn't figure out why because she never goes anywhere." Apparently her husband had found her halfway between the houses and brought her home. She was practically blind and deaf, too, so it couldn't have been easy for her to make that effort. She could barely walk without falling. Karen said she made the attempt to come over twice.

The day before she passed over, I saw her outside and knew at that moment she would not be with us long. During the visit, right before she left, Crumpet told me that there was one other thing she needed to clarify and that it was about that last time I saw her. She said, "I went out there specifically for you so you would have that one last picture in your mind of me."

That's just so sweet.

She knew she was going over. I wonder how she knew.
