1. The old economic system will not be coming back, but something much more equitable will be put in place. Those who are expecting it to be just the way it was, will be surprised.
2. The old ways are OVER. It's not going to be like that ever again. And that is a GOOD thing.
3. Much like the depression in the 1930’s changed the way people viewed money, the current time in American history will do the same. The public will no longer take things for granted, their homes, food, college for their children. They will become more conservative financially, and have an appreciation for things they had previously assumed would always be there.
4. There will be less sky-high debt. The cost of living will be lower in some aspects, basic expenses will be covered such as in health care.
5. Shopping will no longer have the same recreational value as in the past. There will be more emphasis on needs, not wants. More awareness when shopping as to the origin of the goods, the cost to the planet it terms of resources, the cost in terms of human lives.
6. Life will be a mixture of old and new. In some ways life will become simpler and easier. People may decrease the use of the automobile, and instead walk, ride a bike, or take rapid transit.
7. It is seen that people will enjoy more a sense of community in the basic sense of the word. People won't be segregating themselves from each other as much. The level of interaction will increase.
