7. In Quebecois French, "tabernac" is pretty bad...it is a contraction of
"tabernacle" the locked little box on the wall of a church where the consecrated Host is reserved.

"Sacre bleu" is standard French short hand for "Sacre Dieu" or "Holy God!"

Our own English has "gadzooks!" which is an odd repronunciation of "God's Hooks!" or the nails upon which Jesus Christ hang upon the Cross.
