17. Hi Whimsy!
I hope you're feeling better. I'm concerned that that you said you were feeling hungry because you shouldn't let yourself get hungry on South Beach. If you're feeling hungry-eat something! Just make sure that it something "beachy" like veggies and hummus, celery with peanut butter, eggs, cheese, etc. Phase 2 gets a lot better but Phase 1 will really help you get your cravings and appetite under control.

If you are having trouble with hunger, try adding some beans to your meals if you haven't already. Chili is a great Phase 1 food, especially if you use ground turkey. Plain/non-fat yogurt is good, too. I added a little powder from a sugar-free jello packet for flavoring in Phase 1.

Try not to get discouraged. It gets much easier.
