Never mind in reality, financially Association Football is one of the most corrupt sports, self policed and rotten to the core. Bribes, backhanders and favours are common currency.

One of the greatest ironies was when England's FA sacked their manager Terry Venables for allegedly accepting irregular cash payments while still managing at club level. He was bringing the game into disrepute.

A bit unfair, the FA's reputation was so shabby that it would be impossible to lower it in the public's estimation.

It's a big money gsme and where there's brass there's muck.
