Hundreds of thousands of Americans gave their lives in service to America from our Revolutionary War to today. Abraham Lincoln said at Gettysburg
“that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain--that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom--and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

These lofty ideals-freedom, justice, honor, and due process-have been destroyed by the Republicans.

This Republican Party has let George W. Bush suspend habeas corpus. The party that tried to impeach Clinton for an extra-marital affair has retroactively freed George W. Bush from the fear of being prosecuted for war crimes, for authorizing and allowing interrogators to brutally torture innocent persons IN OUR NAME. Bush can now imprison people without allowing them to plead their case. This Republican-controlled Congress has made Bush a dictator.

I weep for America.
