* and vice* are working for a another country, but I can think of reasons for the outsourcing of jobs and sale of not only ports but other land to foreign powers. If there were to be an attack on Iran that was against world opinion (it would be) our trade deficit gives the administration tremendous power over the economies of certain countries-ie if say China or another country from which we import an enormous amount of goods were to sanction us or cut off trade relations who really gets hurt? The US suffers a shortage of consumer goods, but this could cause a serious drop GNP of other countries. Also by outsourcing jobs especially in the manufacturing and entry level tech areas we create a situation were there will always be a certain percentage of new high school grads and collage grads who choices will be limited to minimum wage jobs or the armed forces, there by creating a reliable stock of inductees and no draft.
