5. Yes, let us ignore the fact that the leftist wing, the anti-war folks
Those who want to speak truth to power and shake up the corporate controlled Democratic party are being forced out of the party, either by chicanery and willful neglect. Ignore the fact that in an atmosphere of overwhelming opposition to the war, the Democratic front runners are decidely pro-war, and those who are against it are either getting the knife or being ignored. Ignore the fact that the ones who truly control this party are no longer the rank and file, the people, but instead reside in the corporate penthouse suite, looking upon all of this from afar. And simply ignore the fact that time after time, the Democrats, when presented with a club to beat down Bushco have instead rolled over and peed all over themselves in order to please their corporate master.

Sorry, but we really do need to have this sort of discussion. Yes, it is nasty, ugly, and quite public. But we also need to determine once and for all who is to control the party, the current corporate masters, or those who were originally in control, we the people. A lot hangs in the balance on this one, namely if the party is to survive as a viable alternative in politics. Better to do so now, rather than later. And in the end, it will all be for the good.
