candidates to enter or withdraw from various races for Congress.

And I know he made at least one trip to Florida to persuade Katherine Harris to step aside in the race against Nelson.

And by all counts she told him to buzz off.

Now her campaign staff has jumped ship and things are looking dim for her chances for Nelson's seat.

Katherine Harris strikes me as a person not easily crossed. She must take significant blame for the Gore "defeat" in Florida in 2000, as she was Sec. of State, the presiding officer over statewide election processes. I'd throw in Jeb and the U.S. Surpreme Court in that guilty category, too.

But now that the White House appears to have done her in, they might want to tread lightly. This is the woman who knows where the bodies are buried. Say she's a vengeful person, JUST FOR THE SAKE OF ARGUMENT. She could bring the whole place down with a hastily arranged interview with the Miami HERALD on the subject of just what went down in November of 2000.
