Reply #5: check to be sure your dufus husband locked the doors

Last night the winds were blowing and I was just feeling lucky to have a furnace that was cranking out the heat. We had had the furnace repairman check a few days ago. After the check, my husband failed to shut the downstairs door properly. It opened during the night and the cats got out. I found them parading around the property in the a.m.

So he said he'd lock it and he did. He just didn't test to see that he'd really gotten it locked. So once again, the door was open. Grrrrr!!

I've had that happen before and my pipes froze. It was the most miserable experience of my life, bailing out all that water, throwing out things that had been in storage, having plumbers into replace pipes. And the $$$!!

I'd throw his ass out in the street but he's such a good cook. :)
