There was a recent DU thread re: an initiative the WA-DOMA group is trying to introduce to the WA state legislature in response to a WA Supreme Court ruling which stated the state has a legitimate interest in preserving marriage for procreation; thus, the state is justified in denying equal rights to gays and lesbians.
