Rude nurses, botched medical procedures which no other doctor wants to touch until the patient code blues, lack of communication regarding how serious the matter is...it all sounds familiar.

Write down your recollections, no matter how painful it is to do. The sooner you put the details down in writing, the more likely they can be used as a Recollectible Record in court. Make sure you get the doctor's private notes.

I'm no lawyer, by the way, just know a thing or two about asking for records as a private citizen. Oh! And if you can manage it, pay close attention to who comes to the service. If there is a good nurse that regrets what happened, they might turn up. That's when you need to be in full control of your faculties, because it might be the only time you'll get a straight story from someone.
