12. That's a whole nother issue - but i'm curious
What if a candidate, when asked about evolution said "Well I believe that God created us; I believe in a creating God. Now we don't know the methods God used to create us, but we honor God by trying to understand those methods as best as we can. Thus we need to be studying evolution, which seems, from a scientific standpoint, the most likely method of bring humanity into existence." Something like that. Is that enough of a finesse?
