12. I think there is a balance between compassion and standing up for one's values/beliefs even if
doing so appears combative.

I have been rude and blunt a few times these past weeks when there have been obvious troublemakers afoot, calling for some outrageous things.

I also think some of the nastiness is a symptom of the overall stress we are living under--the shocking actions of our government which seem to defy logic, humanitarianism and the Constitution--and how powerless we feel.
