i hope this will all change. soon. i was struck by the 19 year old bhutto boy who, in an interview with the bbc and others today, responded to a question by saying, extremism is fed by dictatorships.
when the u.s. stops feeding dictatorships, the problem of extremism will begin to resolve itself.

i think he is right.

i also think the same logic applies to our current situation. bush, as a fascist dictator, has not been a good stewart for this nation. with poverty on the rise, talk of terror all the time, crime is on the increase. i hope that change will come to the nation next january in the form of job creation, better health care for the people, social security retirement benefits which are not threatened, a withdrawal of troops from iraq, a let other countries govern themselves as they wish, and i think that when people feel secure, comfortable, and hopeful about their future, a lot of this increased crime wave will begin to slack or slow down.

by the way ... they found another policeman who had been assassinated today. they found the body in his own unmarked (or perhaps his own private) car.

these reagan/bush/bush policies are not good for the country.
