I have an uncle who is a retired Marine Lt. Col. He got what he describes as "an engraved invitation" to come back to the Corps in order to spend some vacation time in Iraq. He RSVP'd his regrets and hasn't heard word boo since.
Does your uncle have some desirable MOS, is he in a different branch of the service, or are they going after the noncoms because they need something in particular from them?
This is so wrong. I'm so sorry.
