138. OK, here's a few quotes for ya...
Some genius turned a bunch of Bushie's usual linguistic adventures into blank verse, and here's what came out:

MAKE THE PIE HIGHER
by George W. Bush

I think we all agree, the past is over.
This is still a dangerous world.
It's a world of madmen and uncertainty
and potential mental losses.

Rarely is the question asked
Is our children learning?
Will the highways of the Internet become more few?
How many hands have I shaked?

They misunderestimate me.
I am a pitbull on the pantleg of opportunity.
I know that the human being and the fish can coexist.
Families is where our nation finds hope, where our wings take dream.

Put food on your family!
Knock down the tollbooth!
Vulcanize society!
Make the pie higher! Make the pie higher!

I'm sure we'll both agree that the past is over. But maybe we're being two-dimensional thinkers in a multi-dimensional world. What of the space-time continuum? What of the concept of time as a spiral that you keep looping back on? What of black holes causing the total cessation of time? What is deja vu anyway? What of the merits of ham and swiss on rye with spicy German mustard on a crunchy baguette? Do my socks match?

Deep stuff, and I'm nowhere near smart enough to have the answers. But because I, too, am a pitbull on the pantleg of opportunity, I'm going to keep at it until I figure this stuff out once and for all.

Meanwhile, just a couple of presidential pearls to leave you with, notably his take on the fabulous flying ticket counters of doom and an alleged dry drunk's appreciation of draft beer:

"I am here to make an announcement that this Thursday, ticket counters and airplanes will fly out of Ronald Reagan Airport." -- Washington, D.C., Oct. 3, 2001

"I hear there's rumors on the Internets that we're going to have a draft." -- George W. Bush, contemplating his next tall, cold Lone Star, October 8, 2004, St. Louis, Mo.

You just can't make this shit up.

More Bush quotes here, if you can stop giggling long enough to point and click.
