29. Here's why I don't
France can suffer a crippling strike and come out the other side with better policy.

The US is so divided that it might slip into a generalized civil war with few geographical boundaries. Because of this, it would go on like Lebanon, not like our first civil war. Denver could start it, with a dollar/gal more for gas by then, and grain shortages projected for winter 08.

I am hoping to avoid those types of powder kegs for a bit, until we start getting a handle on our addiction for oil. Our coming apart will happen on a global basis. The army that would fight that war against itself is scattered across the globe.

By the time it settles into the North American Federation and Jesusland, a lot of really bad shit might happen.

I know. I sound tin foil hattish.
But that is why I want it settled by June, and one party pulling for someone all summer long.
