17. Nothing will destroy an adult discussion group faster
than prissy language police who whine and nitpick over things every adult has a right to say but which they don't want to hear children saying--although I guarantee those children do say them when they're out of earshot.

Adults don't have a divinely given right to go through life being unoffended by other people's language or beliefs. Adults don't have a divinely given right to insist all adult places become friendly to four year olds.

Four year olds would be bored stiff by the content on DU. Twelve year olds might be mildly interested in it if they're smart and politically aware twelve year olds, but I guarantee all to language police that they not only know the worst of the language used here, they know what it means, too.

Adults drop the F bomb when they're upset and have a perfect right to do so. It's silly to go through life being offended by gutter words when they're being used to describe the truly obscene, the politics of the last 40 years.
