4. Geez David. I'm usually right there with you....
but do you really think that President Obama is really that naive and/or stupid? You'd have to be beyond crazy ambitious (as in clinically insane) not to allow the cons outweigh the pros regarding torture and wars of aggression. Even in the relatively short scope of a decade or two, either is a losing proposition as everyone harmed by those policies will, for all eternity, be on the lookout for some method of payback.

Yeah, I'm frustrated as well, but prosecuting torture isn't a fight Obama was ever going to lead. He can't afford to. However, what has done is to release information so the rest of U.S. can make up our own minds on the subject.

It's up to each and every one of us to help educate our fellow citizens on why prosecution is our sacred duty and why we can never allow anything like this to happen again. The best Obama can do (right now, anyway) is to provide the teaching materials.
