28. Slightly small t-shirts are really helping me be comfortable in my bypass recovery.
My recovery has been pretty free of trouble. Once I figured out how to get in and out of my own bed with very little use of my arms things went well.

About the t-shirts...The worst thing about recovery for me started about 2-3 weeks in. It was the hair stubble growing back on my chest. It's a makes a very strange feeling when clothes or sheet/blankets move on it. Sort of like getting stroked with a prickly hair brush. I found myself walking hunched over to avoid. Then I put on an old t-shirt that is snug, but not tight, from my skinnier days that holds the hair down and prevents the feeling. Relief! I can exercise on the treadmill, go shopping, do chores around the house, etc. free of that irritating sensation.

The big things the hospital staff will tell you about. The little things that can still get to you, the hospital staff doesn't mention so much.
