21. Thanks kindly, neighbor.
It is sad to lose anything (years of life, land, a career, relations with family) over medical cannabis.

It is sadder that President Obama and AG Holder seem incapable of walking the walk (to match their pre- and post-election talk) to end this eight decade war on illegal smiles. With Holder re-nominating Leonhart as DEA Director (who continues to order raids on duly-constituted medical cannabis programs in Colorado, California and elsewhere), it is becoming abundantly clear who is really in charge. It's not Holder, and it's not Obama. It is a criminal justice/industrial complex that feeds on ... all of us.

Both Holder and Obama know that cannabis laws are another form of Jim Crow and that many young Black men and women will spend their formative years behind bars, learning to substitute crack and crank and smack and pills for cannabis because the former are less detectable. It is a sin and a shame, and the blame now rests on a President that I worked hard to help elect. Because he said (during the campaign) that physicians should be able to prescribe medical cannabis in the same ways, and under the same controls, as any other prescription drug.

Nice words, good thoughts -- it's a shame there was no backbone to back them up.
