Will Progressives & Dems ever be proactive?

For months, Beck/Palin/Fox has been hyping this event and the symbol set he planned to use. The Right co-opted Obama's top memes (civil rights, Senator from Illinois, poor key, Lincoln etc)and flipped them to be an anti-Obama ploy.

With MONTHS of highly promoted PR - we got nothing? The Right gets to hog the limelight, unimpeded by a strident and intimidating LW/Progressive onslaught. Only this week, have we begun to hear insipid tepid remarks some bloggers, AL Sharpton etc. With months of lead time, did anyone at the WH, DNC, PDA or unions collaborate on a hard-hitting, to the throat media campaign to honestly dirty up the event and the goals of the participants? Take off the gloves, name names?

There is so much to work with, if someone would just plain give a damn. Nope, the Dems and progs will cower in a corner in November vowing to be obedient RW tools. And women, SS recipients, minorities, schools, the poor will shake their heads in confusion. Did this really just happen HERE?
