So Mike Huckabee Huckabee thinks that US economy is going to correct itself

To anyone in Wichita Falls who is worried about the future of America, Republican politician and Fox News Channel talk show host Mike Huckabee claimed to offer a positive message Monday.

Grass roots Tea Party protests against government interference and overspending illustrate that America’s self-correcting mechanism — built within its framework by our Founding Fathers — is working as it should, he said.

“America is like a self-cleaning oven,” the 44th governor of Arkansas said. “When the oven gets filthy, you seal that sucker up, turn the heat up hotter than it’s ever been before, you bake it to the uncomfortable point when everything turns to ash. Then on Nov. 2, Americans will clean out the ashes,” he said. “It’s the brilliance of our system. Not the end, but the rebirth of America.”

Huckabee, who ran for the Republican nomination for president in 2008 and came in second to Sen. John McCain, visited Midwestern State University’s Akin Auditorium Monday as part of its 46th season of the Artist-Lecture Series. He addressed an enthusiastic, sold-out crowd of 450 that underscored many points throughout his hourlong lecture with cheers and clapping.

“One of the most truly remarkable elections may well be just weeks away. I believe we may be on the cusp of a political tsunami,” he said to applause.

The spending and borrowing of today’s leaders is “a sin against your generation,” he told students. His own parents’ generation, commonly known as the “Greatest Generation,” earned their title because they endured the Depression and two world wars, making “unbelievable sacrifices,” vowing that their children would have a better life.

I do not trust Huckabee because I think his own parties wreckless gambling with the economy created a group of financial robber barons that need to be stopped. Huckabee's point can be corrected if the financial robber barrons are reigned in and treated like a bunch of gambling addicts that need a spiritual awakening in order to stop gambling the country's financial capital on useless speculations.

Once he address the robber barrons, I might actually listen to some of his idea. But he failed to address this issue and therefore, his ideas are in vain until the robber barrons are reigned in.
